What is the RSVP deadline?
Please respond by 20 April 2026. Visit the RSVP page on our website and enter the unique 6-digit code on your formal invitation. Need help? Email rsvp@jacobnarachel.com.
Can I bring a plus-one or my children?
Numbers are restricted. The reception is strictly by invitation — only guests named on the invitation may attend, and no children are allowed at the reception. The ceremony is open to everyone.
Dress Code & Venue
What is the dress code?
Formal Evening Elegance in Shimmer and Sparkle. Please avoid black and African attire. Draw inspiration from the couple's colour palette and Fairytale Musical Storybook theme — see The Wedding Day page on our website for details.
Where are the venues, and is there accommodation for out-of-town guests?
The ceremony will be held at St Gerard's Catholic Church, Borrowdale, Harare at 10:00 AM. The reception will take place at The Hideaway Lodge, near Darwendale Dam from 3:00 PM. Hideaway Lodge offers on-site chalets and tented accommodation at $30 per person on a bed and breakfast basis. To reserve, please contact Blessing Shumba-Hove at +263772368338.

Ceremony & Reception Details
Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony is held indoors at St Gerard's Catholic Church, Borrowdale.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
Please switch your phone to silent before entering the church. Photography during Mass will be handled by our official photographer — guests are asked to remain seated and attentive during the liturgy. You are welcome to capture memories freely at the reception, provided you are not obstructing our professional photographers.
Can I drive to Hideaway with a low clearance vehicle?
Hideaway is 48-60km away from the ceremony venue and CBD. 15km of the journey is on a dirt road from the Harare-Bulawayo Road Highway. Low clearance vehicles can drive smoothly at reasonable speeds.
Is the reception indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony is held indoors at St Gerard's Catholic Church. The reception opens in the garden before transitioning to a covered venue. We kindly suggest appropriate footwear for both settings and encourage guests to monitor the weather as the date draws near.
Can we bring cooler boxes?
Yes, cooler boxes are welcome as the alcohol served on the day will be limited. We kindly ask that all guests drink responsibly so that we can capture the best memories of our Fairytale Wedding.
